Academic Research
my academic Career and Achievements
My academic career began in 2014 in Ukraine. In 2016, I received a prestigious scholarship from the EU Commission as part of an international program involving six universities, coordinated by the University of Bologna (Italy) – the "Erasmus Mundus Joint International Doctoral (PhD) Degree in Law, Science, and Technology" (www.last-jd.eu). Only six people were awarded this scholarship annually, with applications received from around the world.
Research Mobility and Education
My research mobility followed a structured plan of attending the University of Bologna (Italy), the University of Turin (Italy), the Autonomous University of Barcelona (Spain), and Tilburg University (Netherlands) - in first two years. This was followed by two years of research at RMIT University (Australia).
I received my Joint Doctoral Degree in Law, Science, and Technology from the University of Bologna and the Autonomous University of Barcelona in 2020 with Thesis: "Tokenization of Real Estate on Blockchain".
Academic Contributions and Achievements
During my research, I published over 30 academic papers.
In 2021, I was granted permanent residency in Australia through the Global Talent Visa program for "outstanding achievements in academic research on Fintech and Blockchain" and have since permanently settled in Australia.
The primary output of my research was the development of the next-generation land registry system, known as the Blockchain Estate Registry.
Policy Contributions
I made a submission to the Australian Parliament, and in 2021, I was invited to speak at an Australian Senate Committee. My research on the new generation of property registries was included in the recommendations of the Senate Select Committee on Australia as a Technology and Financial Centre. These recommendations were submitted to the National Cabinet, proposing a blockchain pilot project for land registry. See Sections 5.34 - 5.36 and 7.59 of the Senate Committee Report (April 2021).
